What a fantastic surprise to read that the Cambridge Dictionary awarded their prestigious title of 'Word of the Year 2019' to 'upcycling'. The chosen word resonated most strongly with followers on the Dictionary's Instagram account when it received more likes than any other word shared on 4 July 2019. The number of times upcycling has been looked-up in the Dictionary has risen by 181% since December 2011 when it was first added to the online Dictionary and searches have doubled in 2019 alone.
